The Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA) School today 26 March 2024 held its first Inter House sports competition at the Aguyi Ironsi Cantonment Abuja. The colorful event had the pupils and students compete keenly in track events. In his welcome remark, the acting commandant Major Samuel Buzugbe appreciated the President DEPOWA Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa for hosting the first DEPOWA school Inter House sports competition stating that the importance of exercise in the human body cannot be over emphasized and the Inter house has further made available an opportunity to discover talents among the students.

In her remarks, the President DEPOWA stated that it was heart-warming to know that DEPOWA school has come of age and is now able to put up well-organized event where children are able to showcase sporting talents. She congratulated the management, staff, pupils and students for their determination, dedication and commitment to excel.

At the end of the competition POWA house came first with 85 marks followed by NAOWA 70 marks, NAFOWA had 64 marks coming third while NOWA with 63 marks at fourth position and DEPOWA with 50 marks coming 5th respectively.

Present at the event were DEPOWA members, Parents and friends of DEPOWA. Highlights were cultural display, march past,group photographs, presentation of medals and trophies.
