The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON and the Chairman, Renewed Hope Initiative has donated items for the empowerment of widows and veterans in the Armed Forces and the Police nation wide.
The event took place recently at the Police Children School Abuja on 14th September 2024.

Recieving the items, the President DEPOWA appreciated the First Lady for her constant demonstration of motherly love towards the needy in the country, especially the widows and veterans.

In her remarks, the First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON emphasised the importance of being one’s brother’s keeper and encouraged everyone to reach out to their neighbors and engage in the “Every Home a Garden” initiative to reduce food costs.
The First Lady also commended the food drive under the social investment program, which has been providing food items to states across the country.The items ranging from shoes, bags, and bales of clothing, among others, are meant to support the businesses of widows and veterans for sustainability and growth.

Present at the event were wife of the Vice President of Nigeria, wives of Governors, wives of service chiefs and the wife of the Inspector General of Police and other distinguished guests who were in attendance.
