 PRESIDENT DEPOWA VISITS WOUNDED IN ACTION SOLDIERS AT 44 NIGERIAN ARMY REFERENCE HOSPITAL, KADUNA

The President Defense and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa visited the Wounded in Action (WIA) soldiers on 12 April 2025 at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital (44 NARHK). The essence of the visit was to demonstrate DEPOWA’s commitment to supporting the WIA soldiers who have made sacrifices for the nation.

Welcoming the President DEPOWA, the Acting Chief Medical Director, Brigadier General Godwin Ogoh, expressed gratitude to the President of DEPOWA, Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa, and her team for their remarkable humanitarian efforts. He acknowledged the organization’s consistent initiatives, which has significantly impacted the lives of WIA soldiers. He further stated the importance of serving those who have dedicated their lives to maintaining national peace, he mentioned “as human beings, we serve ourselves, and there is no better people to serve today than those who have strived and are partaking in the peace of the Nation”.

The President DEPOWA Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa appreciated officers and staff of the 44 NARHK, she further encouraged them to remain steadfast and committed in service.

During the visit, Mrs Oghogho had interactions with all the wounded in action soldiers in all the hospital wards and provided consumables and relief items to all the soldiers.

Present at the visit were the President Customs Officers Wives Association, Mrs Kikelomo Adeniyi, DEPOWA Members, Christopher Oghogho Foundation, among others.

Highlights of the event were the presentation of plaques, presentation of relief items and group photographs.
