 NAOWA PRESIDENT PAY COURTESY VISIT TO PRESIDENT DEPOWA

The President of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Mernan Femi Oluyede and her entourage paid a courtesy visit to the President DEPOWA at the DEPOWA Secretariat on Friday, 16 May 2025.

In her Remarks, the President NAOWA, Mrs Mernan Femi Oluyede noted that it was her first official visit upon assumption of office as the 24th President of NAOWA, she stated that NAOWA and DEPOWA share a common mission to uplift and advocate for the wellbeing of military families especially women, children and the vulnerable. Mrs Mernan Femi Oluyede expressed her solidarity and requested for means to explore the mutual beneficial areas of activities in line with the shared goals. She added that NAOWA seeks collaboration in the areas of humanitarian outreach, youth empowerment, and community development.

Furthermore, the NAOWA President commended the DEPOWA President for her outstanding initiatives towards sustainable development across the sister associations, which creates financial independence. She affirmed that both associations will work together to amplify efforts to touch more lives and leave behind a legacy of strength, unity, and enduring purpose.

The DEPOWA President, in her response, welcomed the NAOWA President and her entourage, noting that it’s an avenue to communicate effectively. Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa congratulated the NAOWA President on her assumption of office and prayed for a successful tenure. She further assured the NAOWA President of her commitment towards value addition to the Defense spousal associations.
