The DEPOWA Day Care Nursery Primary and School held it’s inter-house sports competition on 7 March 2025 at the Aguyi Ironsi Cantonment, Abuja. The President DEPOWA Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa was the Special Guest of Honour.

During the opening remarks, the Commandant DEPOWA School, Squadron Leader Akerele-Alatishe, welcomed all that came to grace the occasion and further appreciated the President DEPOWA for her continuous support and also highlighted the importance and usefulness of sports to the human body. The Commandant encouraged pupils and students to put in their best in the competition while wishing every house success.

The DEPOWA President, in her remarks, thanked all the participants, parents, teachers, and guardians for their constant support and being part of the event. Additionally, she stated that the competition was not about winning or losing, but about the values of teamwork and excellence it would imbibe in the children, which fosters excellence in life. The competition had NAOWA coming 1st position with 97 points, POWA 2nd with 90 points, NAFOWA 3rd position with 87 points, DEPOWA 4th position with 81 points and NOWA 5th position with 80 points. Highlights of the event were invitation relay by invited schools, medal and trophy presentations, and group photographs.
