 DEPOWA DAYCARE NURSERY PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL HOLDS GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR CLASS OF 2025

The President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs. Oghogho Gwabin Musa, held the Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2025 at the DEPOWA Daycare Nursery Primary and Secondary School, Mogadishu Cantonment Asokoro, Abuja, on 31 July 2025

Delivery the opening remarks, Maj. Buzube, welcomed parents and guardians, thanking them for their unwavering support. He congratulated the Class of 2025 on reaching this milestone, emphasizing that their achievement marks a new chapter in life. He encouraged the graduates to pursue higher education with confidence, holding onto the values instilled by family and school. He urged them to stay resilient, determined, and guided by moral principles, assuring them of greatness ahead. He also expressed gratitude to the President of DEPOWA for her dedication to creating a nurturing environment.

In her heartfelt remarks, the President DEPOWA, expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty for granting her the divine grace to celebrate yet another remarkable milestone in the lives of the students. She underscored the significance of education as a cornerstone of a progressive society, emphasizing that DEPOWA remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing young minds in an environment that fosters academic excellence, moral values, and patriotism.

Mrs. Musa highlighted that the celebration was not solely about academic achievements, but also about recognizing and celebrating exceptional talent, creativity, and character development which the children had exhibited. She acknowledged the remarkable progress that had been made since she assumed office. She extended her appreciation to the dedicated teachers and school staff for their tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to nurturing the young minds entrusted to their care.

The President DEPOWA thanked the parents for entrusting their children’s education to DEPOWA, appreciating their continued support and partnership. She emphasized that the collaborative effort between the institution and the parents was crucial in making a meaningful difference in the lives of the students.

Present at the event were the representatives of NAOWA, NOWA, NAFOWA, POWA, and COWA Presidents, as well as members of DEPOWA, NAOWA, NOWA, NAFOWA, and COWA.

Highlights of the event include a keynote address on “The Power of Resilience” delivered by Dr. Lilian Iwu, presentation of awards, brief by DEPOWA Education Committee, captivating Afro/Atilogwu dance performances, and group photographs.
