The President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association(DEPOWA), Mrs Oghogho G.Musa, organised DEPOWA Teachers Appreciation Day on Wednesday 8th October 2024.

The memorable event which took place at the DEPOWA Secretariat Hall had in attendance the President DEPOWA, all the teachers and staff of DEPOWA Daycare, Nursery, Primary and Secondary School; DEPOWA exectives, and DEPOWA education committee members.

The event had the keynote address themed “Empowering Teachers: The key to quality education” delivered by Miss Amara Ezediniru afterwards she moderated a panel of discussion on valuing teachers perspectives in education policy.

In her remarks, the President DEPOWA expressed her profound gratitude to the unsung heroes of our society- the teachers; noting that their selfless dedication, unwavering passion, and tireless efforts have shaped minds, inspired futures and transformed lives.

Highlights of the event include the welcome address as well as the reflection on the importance of the day by the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson DEPOWA education committee., cutting of the cake, teachers games and dance with the President DEPOWA, vote of thanks delivered by the Commandant DEPOWA school and photograph session.
