Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON, hosted a special Children’s Day Celebration tagged ” celebrating with our children with the theme” Our Children, Our Future” The event took place on Monday, 27 May 2024, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa Abuja. The event was done in collaboration with the First Anniversary of President Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. Various schools from within and outside Abuja showcased the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria in various traditional dances. The President DEPOWA Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa , NAOWA President Mrs Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja, among other dignitaries, graced the occasion. Delivering her remarks, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON, stated that children were a source of man’s joy and urged the children to nurture their curiosity and continue learning and never be afraid to ask questions. The wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima, commended the First Lady for hosting more than 500 children school children to celebrate them at the state house. A grant of 10 million naira was given to participating schools from the Renewed Hope Initiative to support the development and needs of their schools.

The climax of the occasion was the presentation of gifts to participating schools and group photographs.
