 PRESIDENT DEPOWA ATTENDS NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE OFFICERS WIVES ASSOCIATION SEMINAR IN HONOUR OF WIVES OF GRADUATING PARTICIPANTS OF NDC COURSE 32

The Seminar, themed Visionary Living; Designing a Life of Achievement and Impact, was part of activities for the graduation ceremony of NDC Course 32, held at the Abacha Hall, National Defence College on the 20th August, 2024.

Dignitaries present at the event include the Special Guest of Honour, First Lady of Osun State, Chief Mrs Titilola Adeleke ; Mother of the day, President DEPOWA, Mrs Oghogho Musa; as well as Hajiya Bola Shagaya MON.

The host and coordinator National Defence College Officers Wives Association (NDCOWA), Mrs Rhoda Olotu, gave her welcome address, after which the keynote speaker Mrs Oluwatoyin Oboh delivered her lecture.

In her remarks, the Mother of the Day, Mrs Oghogho G. Musa stated, “Let me emphasize that each of you, as wives of officers, occupies a unique position of influence. Your roles, though often unsung, are pivotal in shaping the lives of those around you, your families, communities, and even the institutions your spouse’s serve. But beyond the support you provide, this seminar is about you—about embracing your vision, designing your path, and making an indelible impact on the world.”

The SGOH, in her response, encouraged participants to use their potential to become agents of change while beginning a journey of impact as officers’ wives.

Notably present at the event were the Commandant NDC Rear Admiral OM Olotu, Representatives of the wives of Navy, Airforce and Police service chiefs, the Coordinator DIAOWA, Mrs Jane Ekor Undiandeye; the Coordinator MPBOWA, Mrs Elizabeth Irumehson; United Nations Women Representative to Nigeria and Ecowas, Ms Beatrice Eyong; DEPOWA members, NDCOWA members, other sister associations, members 39RC Angels, Senior Officers of the College and wives of Participants.

High points of the event was the launching and unveiling of the new NDCOWA Wrapper by the Coordinator NDCOWA and conferring the first Lady of Osun State, Chief Mrs Titilola Adeleke and Hajiya Bola Shagaya (MON) as Ambassadors of NDCOWA.
