The Defense and Police Officers’ Wives Association Skills Acquisition Centre (DSAC) held the second edition of orientation programme under the leadership of Mrs Oghogho G Musa for batch 17 of 2024 students at the DEPOWA Secretariat Hall on Friday, 31st May, 2024.
The event had in attendance the Chief host, the President DEPOWA, Mrs Oghogho G Musa, DEPOWA exectives, DSAC Officers and personnels, instructors, resource persons and the new students.
The DSAC Coordinator, Major BJ Ananya gave a brief on DSAC while the chief instructor, Navy Lieutenant E. Ephraim acquainted the students on the rules and regulations guiding DSAC. The resources persons delivered insightful lectures with the first speaker, Mrs Amara Ezediniru talking on “Unlocking your potential: The power of skills and knowledge” while the second speaker, Mrs Grace Uju Peters talked about “Opportunity and choice “
The President DEPOWA in her remarks welcomed the students to DSAC and encouraged them to be positive, teachable and know why they have come to learn a skill. She added that soft skills will be added to their training to enable them excel after the training.
Highlights of the event were an interactive session, vote of thanks delivered by a student and group photographs.
