The President of the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs Oghogho G.Musa hosted the first edition of the DEPOWA Monthly Aerobics Exercise themed Walk for Health for the year 2025 on Saturday 1st February 2025 at Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja.

The event featured medical checkups, Aerobics exercises, health talk by a resource person from the DEPOWA Health Committee, Mrs Grace Agibogwu, and the remarks by the Chief host and President DEPOWA

In her remarks, Mrs Oghogho G.Musa commended the Presidents of NAOWA, NOWA, NAFOWA, and POWA as well as members of DEPOWA and DENCOWA for always being supportive whenever called upon for DEPOWA activities.

She further reiterated the importance of healthy eating habits and exercises, which are crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being as they reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by releasing endorphins also known as “feel good” hormone
She urged that the monthly Aerobics exercises will be rotated monthly within the associations and formations. The President DEPOWA encouraged the intake of 2-3 litres of water as she presented participants with water bottles.

Highlights of the event were medical checkups, aerobics exercises, health talk, presentation of water bottles, and group photographs.
