The President Global Life Tower Builders Foundation, Mr Uwakolam G. Chukwudi and members of his foundation visited President DEPOWA on Monday, 22nd April, 2024.

In his remark, he stated that his foundation which is committed to child education, promoting safety and preventing abuse in the educational settings are deeply impressed by the impactful activities of DEPOWA under the esteemed leadership of Mrs Oghogho G Musa and seek to explore potential collaboration with DEPOWA in line with one of their objectives of raising awareness and taking proactive measures to prevent child abuse within schools, particularly focusing on creating safe environments for children to thrive academically, emotionally, and physically.

He added that with this goal in mind, their foundation have developed a campaign titled “Creating Safe Spaces: Preventing Child Abuse in Schools” aimed to help the vulnerable children have someone to share their stories from social vices that’s not staying within their locality and in turn are assisted to better their lives. The collaboration will involve identifying a few schools where the safe space initiative will be used as the pilot phase.

The President DEPOWA in her response comended the foundation for their achievements and informed them that DEPOWA is a non governmental organisation and as such has a lot of activities geared towards vulnerable children in the barracks and children of fallen heroes that needs to be addressed as an organisation.
